Email Notification Preferences

Email notifications keep you informed about important updates even when you’re not logged into the Client Portal. Customize which emails you receive to stay informed without inbox overload.

Accessing Email Preferences

Go to Account Settings

Click your profile picture or name in the top right, then select “Settings” or “Account”.

Find Notification Settings

Click on “Notifications” or “Email Preferences” in the settings menu.

Customize Your Preferences

Toggle different notification types on or off according to your preferences.

Save Changes

Click “Save” or “Update Preferences” to apply your changes.

Email Notification Categories

Project Notifications

  • Project Updates: Status changes, milestone completions
  • New Messages: Messages from your project team
  • File Uploads: When new files are added to your project
  • Approval Requests: When your approval is needed
  • Project Summary: Weekly project progress digest

Invoice Notifications

  • New Invoice: When a new invoice is created
  • Payment Reminder: Before invoice due date
  • Overdue Notice: When payment becomes overdue
  • Payment Receipt: Confirmation when payment is received

Meeting Notifications

  • Meeting Scheduled: When a new meeting is booked
  • Meeting Reminder (24h): Day-before reminder
  • Meeting Reminder (1h): Hour-before reminder
  • Meeting Changed: Rescheduled or cancelled meetings

Account Notifications

  • Security Alerts: Login from new device, password changes
  • Account Updates: Profile changes, settings updates
  • Announcements: Important system notifications
Required Notifications

Some notifications cannot be disabled, including security alerts, payment receipts, and critical account notices. These are essential for account security and legal compliance.

Recommended Settings

Stay Informed (Recommended)

Keep most notifications enabled to stay on top of your projects:

  • Project updates: ON
  • New messages: ON
  • Invoice notifications: ALL ON
  • Meeting reminders: ALL ON

Minimal Notifications

If you prefer fewer emails, keep only the essentials:

  • Approval requests: ON
  • Invoice notifications: ON
  • Meeting reminders (24h): ON
  • Security alerts: ON (always)

Digest Mode

Some notifications offer digest options:

  • Receive a daily or weekly summary instead of individual emails
  • Good for reducing email volume
  • Still stay informed about all activity
Pro Tip

Even if you reduce email notifications, make sure meeting reminders stay enabled. Missing a meeting because you didn’t see the notification can set projects back.

Email Frequency

Control how often you receive emails:

  • Immediate: Get emails as events happen
  • Daily Digest: One email per day summarizing activity
  • Weekly Digest: One email per week with a summary

Critical notifications (security, payments, meeting reminders) are always sent immediately regardless of digest settings.

Emails Not Arriving?

Check Spam/Junk Folder

Our emails sometimes get filtered. Look in your spam folder and mark our emails as “Not Spam”.

Add Us to Contacts

Add these addresses to your contacts to ensure delivery:

  • noreply@leadmarketingstrategies.com
  • hello@leadmarketingstrategies.com
  • billing@leadmarketingstrategies.com

Check Email Filters

Review your email filters/rules to make sure our emails aren’t being sorted away from your inbox.

Verify Email Address

Make sure your registered email address is correct in your Account Settings.

Corporate Email Restrictions

Some corporate email systems block external senders. Ask your IT department to whitelist our domains.

Unsubscribing

To unsubscribe from notification emails:

  1. Click “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of any notification email
  2. Or adjust settings in Account Settings > Notifications
  3. You can unsubscribe from specific categories while keeping others
Resubscribing

If you unsubscribe and later want emails again, simply go to Account Settings > Notifications and re-enable the desired categories.

Email Privacy

We respect your inbox:

  • We only send relevant notifications you’ve opted into
  • We never share your email with third parties
  • We don’t send marketing emails unless you specifically opt in
  • You can unsubscribe at any time
