Lead Marketing Strategies is here to help with ADA compliance for your website.

When the Americans with Disabilities Act was first signed into law in 1990, the World Wide Web was still in its relative infancy and the digital world wasn’t much of a concern. In addition to the ADA, you may hear about 508 compliance. According to section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, all federally-funded programs and activities must be accessible to people with disabilities. Section 508 addresses digital access to all those resources. The U.S. government and its contractors must comply with revised standards, updated to keep up with constantly changing technology. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), is now considered the industry standard for all public-facing and some non-public-facing, official agency business content.
